Agro Catamarca S.A., a company founded in 2008, with the primary goal of preserving lands with jungles and virgin forests, threatened by deforestation or damage. As part of its primary objectives, it seeks to develop self-sustaining productive activities that are organic and in harmony with the ecosystem and the general care of nature. In 2009, it acquired a field of Native Yungas Forest in the area of El Alto, Catamarca province, where it established its first Natural Reserve in a partial area of 450 ha., with the aim of expanding it in the future to cover the entire area of the field and its surroundings within a project that encompasses approximately 7,000 ha. Then, it created on the property of the field, the “Establecimiento Los Amarillos”, where it began to develop Beekeeping activities. Due to the unique biodiversity of trees and plants in the Andean Jungles (Yungas) of the region, combined with the fact that neither in its field nor in its surroundings are there any crops or intensive activities using fertilizers or pesticides, the Honey produced is of Very High Quality and Purity, with a unique flavor and properties. In 2019, Organic Certification was obtained, for both the markets of Argentina, the European Union, the United States, and Canada, and its presentation and introduction began.
